By Scott Adams. I was surprised to not find this mentioned in the titles of this section, as the author’s marvelous and funny workplace observations should appeal to our kind. I’m thinking particularly of the chapter entitled (something like) “Engineers, Scientists, and other strange people…” which, whether he intended it or not, is as good a practical definition as you are likely to find, of what it is like to be autistic, especially in the work place. Having spent most of my engineering career in new product design (for which my autistic traits made me particularly well suited; such a shame about management attitudes towards my kind!) I can vouch for much of what he observed, directly.
