A few weeks ago, a first shift janitor threatened me with a forklift moving it towards me and stopping in a similar movement to lunging with a knife, and then they tried laughing about it with another coworker saying they "should have ran his cracker a** over!" (and they got reported by them) and apparently the management is fine with this since they let them get away with it. Now they're bragging about it, and seem emboldened. The only overlap of schedules is on sundays, so I've said I won't work then, but for me the schedule is pretend-inflexible so I'll accumulate points until fired and either have to work with the jerk or not and lose my employment at the crappy sweatshop. I hate looking for work, but it's like, good grief. It's so lovely the management is fine with their brand of racism too, since it's pretended not to be it though it obviously is. -_-

Maybe I should get back to writing novels and let those idiots find someone else to sort bloody toilet paper for 50 hours a week at less than the cost of living. They're supposedly going to increase wages to just slightly below the cost of living as of February, but it's like, who the heck should care? It's still a freaking sweatshop and I shouldn't have to put up with being threatened.

Why not get an office job? A copyediting job or something. Lots of writers get these sorts of editing jobs.

I was threatened by a co-worker while working as an order picker. I immediately quit and got an office job about 3 days later.

Sorry that crap happened to you.
