I started a new job recently. Sometimes I work from 5 pm-11:30 pm and sometimes I work from 11:45 am-5:30 pm. I might be scheduled on any day of the week as well. Without a proper daily routine, I get really jumbled up. Does anyone have any advice on how I can make a routine out of this chaos?

How far in advance are you informed of your schedule?

The job itself is easy, I'm working at an ice cream store in February so it's slow. My issue is that I can't find a time to work out or get ahead on assignments like I usually would since each day is different in terms of shift times. So as an example, yesterday I worked from 5:00-11:30pm and today I'm working from 11:45 am-5:30 pm. I could be assigned either time slot any day and that makes it hard to have a routine.

I know what you mean.

Swing shift is rough.
