Some companies I receive communication from at work started including pronouns next to the names of their contacts.

Feels kinda weird. :?

A new employee at my company goes by they/them/their. I can't tell you how scared I am about THEM going off on me if I screw up THEIR pronouns.

What happens if THEY screw up YOUR pronouns?

:king: That is "His Imperial Majesty", not "His Royal Highness"!  To the dungeon with THEM!

I just say him/her/he/she/etc so naturally and instinctively, and so does everyone else I know. I'm not going to change my language just because of PC.

Eing? I don't know... I've always went for what seemed appropriate for whatever I'm writing. Never noticed something weird on other people's end. I do know something, if THEY start to get annoying with it, then him, her, he, she will instantly, and without a chance to revert, convert to IT or maybe even "the humanoid thingy" .

It is often a game of intimidation, but this doesn't apply to everyone.
Political Correctness is often a tool of control, I have discovered. 8O

I remember a guy at where I used to work once called everyone pricks, and when someone asked why, he said "well I'm being gender neutral..."

No, he didn't get fired for that. We all just laughed and moved on.

I don't have preferred pronouns, but I do have my own adjectives that I require everyone to use as they are part of my identity.

Handsome
Clever
Awesome

It's a growing list, but no one can deny me my own adjectives.

It's only weird if you make it weird. Literally just "how are you addressed?" That's it.
