Job advice:

I applied to a remote position with a non-profit, in quotes, this is how they ended their email:

"We'll get back to you in a few days to explain the next steps."

Does that show interest or is that standard?

No, just basic application, it's a position with a non-profit that advocates for access to birding area for the disabled, they were looking for someone with knowledge of bird and disability issues.
