Other co-worker with atism not stigmatised

During a conversation with a co-worker, he said that there is a teacher at a different location of the same school, who is autistic as well. Hm, that sounds interesting. For being a teacher you need some skills and qualifications. Autism in his case is not an issue. In my case my skills don't matter, only the autism diagnosis, but not my skills. One of my previous bosses diagnosed me with a learning disorder, as I told you, and the doctor agreed with him, without having spoken to me.

So I want an explanation from my employer. Or... is there a valid reason to make that distinction?
