Job search
Some jobs want two weeks notice before you quit. However, almost none of the jobs that I have ever had, allow you to start working two weeks after the job offer. (All the jobs I have had were minimum wage. Jobs with more skills, might be different.). Besides, jobs don't give two weeks notice to the employee that they are getting made redundant. Home Depot's policy is that if you don't give two weeks notice before quitting, you are not eligible for rehire. (If I get a job that starts the next day, I could give two weeks notice and just call out sick every day for two weeks.)
Constantly afraid that coworkers and customers have:
Sex with the boss
Guns
Gang affiliation
Mental illness
Felony conviction
Drug addiction
Some articles claim that a disproportionate number of job listings are "ghost jobs"
Job scams
Besides even if the job is not a scam, plenty of people apply for each job and some people have better skills, expensive and personality than me
"If you work hard you can be whatever you want to be when you grow up.". False. Your occupational prospects depend on many factors: health, intelligence, personality, economic situation, social situation (discrimination). Effort is just one factor. Some children get cancer in drop dead and no matter how hard they worked, they still will not accomplish their occupational goals
It seems like all the jobs are way too far away from my house to work there. Public transportation
Seems like almost all the jobs:
Too far to by bus
Heavy lifting
Off hours
Requires too much education or experience
Car and insurance
Vaccine
It's just too much to demand for a minimum wage job
Been applying for jobs, but none of the jobs that I qualify for even sound that great. Last Thursday, scheduled a job interview as a delivery driver. Did not go. It was only five miles from my cage, but the job ends @ 9pm and the public transportation at that time extremely inconvenient.
Today, I had a job interview scheduled for Molly Maid as Estimator. Did not go. Takes two buses to get there. One of the buses only scheduled once every hour. Roundtrip. No litterbox access. And et cetera.
Thursday, I have an in person job interview @ the garbageman's. Paper Picker. It's only 3.2 miles away from my crib, but the bus only scheduled once an hour, the bus stop 0.6 miles from my jail, and the bus stop 1.4 miles away from work, and it's f*****g full time, and they have to wear uniforms. Besides, that job says "lift fifty pounds" also and work outside year round. Went to the library and printed out documents in preparation for the job interview. Job pays two bucks an hour more than I am currently earning. But, even if they do make the mistake of hiring my worthless corpse, "at will" employer. They could make my worthless corpse redundant at any time for any reason or no reason, as long as it is not an illegal reason. Plenty of companies have had the nerve to make my worthless corpse already.
Besides, based on the job description, that doesn't always provide a representative sample of the job itself. There is no way to know how rude or micromanaging the boss is, or how the customers and coworkers and day laborers are. So what the flying f**k ever s**t. And there always could be nasty surprises. Besides, sometimes, during the onboarding process, you do not even get a chance to meet the boss. Or if you do get a chance, the interaction brief and superficial.
October 11, scheduled a Zoom interview for a city job, Building Attendant. Lift fifty pounds. The job not even one mile away from my coccoon. It says that shifts are between ten hours and thirty minutes. Working for the government sounds like a much more stable job than Home Depot, but it still says "temporary" and "part time", and it did not say how many hours a week.
Applying for jobs, is like saying, I am riding in a bus and trying to get onto a better or faster bus. But some buses appear better and faster but they are worse and slower than they appear. Otherwise, I might fall onto the freeway and get run over, if I try to jump from one job (bus) to another job (bus). Also, @ any time, for any reason or no reason, the bus driver has a moral right to make me jump off the stupidass bus, s**t.
There's something wrong with everything, s**t.
As an autistic, it is really really f*****g hard for me to deal with change. Especially a change as big as changing jobs. Been working @ Home Depot four f*****g years.
garbagemen emailed me to tell me that the job interview originally scheduled for today, will be tomorrow instead, @ 12:30pm. they did not offer me a choice of times. as usual, i have to work on friday, but i answered that it is ok. what the flying f**k ever s**t. those ass holes do not bother considering someone else's perspective. but WTF ever, s**t. it's only 3.2 miles away, but the bus only covers 1.1 miles of it, and bus only scheduled once every thirty minutes. s**t. job description says lift fifty pounds. pretty soon, will be too f*****g weak to lift fifty pounds. it pays two bucks more per hour than i currently earn. but "at will" employer. they might not hire my worthless corpse and even if they do, they could make my worthless corpse redundant @ any time for any reason or no reason, s**t.

coast guard child care assistant job interview scheduled for wednesday. it is full time. it pays two fewer bucks an hour. it says lift 45 plus pounds. cold f**k. my back pain eliminates plenty of jobs. not just warehouse/construction. restaurant retail sales
Been applying to plenty of jobs: driving, construction, what the flying f**k ever s**t.
almost all jobs way too far away from my cage, by public transportation.
a couple job interviews scheduled. zero offers.
s**t.
if tomorrow, my current dumpsterfire "job" has the nerve to make my worthless corpse redundant, my worthless corpse is in deep s**t. (rolls eyes)
besides, "at will" employer. even if someone makes the mistake of hiring my worthless corpse, they could still make my worthless corpse redundant the next day.
on the other hand, plenty of college graduates are having a hard time getting a job, so WTF ever s**t.
