What do you think of Loblaws reducing peoples hours at work?

What do you think of Loblaws cutting peoples hours at work.

My hours have been reduced twice :evil:
Once from 24hrs to 21hrs
Then from 21hrs to 18hrs
Cart Pusher btw

NoFrills in Ontario where I'm Employed.
Minimum wage is 17.20 now in ontario.

If they reduce hours workers should still be paid they should give vacation pay or something, idk like lowering work hours can sound good on paper but if it then means the workers don't get paid well enough due to the less hours that doesn't really help them. And when a grocery trip for two to three days costs 80 dollars the last thing working people want is less hours as a lot are also hoping to even get a little overtime.

But yeah 89 dollars for ingredients for a pork roast, we were intially going to do a beef roast but a beef roast half the size of the pork was over 20 dollars and a big chunk of pork was way cheaper.

I mean that pork will last us a few days but groceries for sure did not used to cost that much, like there was a time 50 dollars would have covered the pork roast and potentially we could have afforded the beef roast instead of having to switch to pork because the beef was too expensive.

It is a good reason to apply for a job at a different place. You can write on the application that hours were reduced, and you need more hours. People will understand the rationale that you need to earn more money.
