Hi yall,
Do you think working at Costco could be a good job for someone who has Asperger's like me? I have briefly worked retail before but I heard Costco pays a living wage and workers there can make about 30 dollars per hour or so. I dont know what I would do there but I am thinking about working there if I cant get a finance job right away.

Hello,

I have a friend of a friend who works at the Costco tire shop and he seems to like it. The pay is really good for what it is and I think they have a good benefits package too.

However, one thing I would consider is how busy Costco can get, especially on weekends. If you are sensitive to busy and loud environments and/or florescent lights, Costco my not be the place for you.

Depends on your sensory profile. When I go to Costco by myself, I'm wearing noise cancelling headphones/earbuds. I also don't last long in chaotic situations, such as 100s of independent people all with their own individual goals. It's too much for me and I get overwhelmed.

The stockers typically work after the store closes, sometimes as early as 3 or 4 AM.

The stockers generally don't work when the store is busy.
