I go in after the holiday to fill in the paperwork - I was hired pretty much on the spot to work on the railroad as a signalman! It's right up my alley - less people interaction (in a social setting, I can communicate fine for getting work done!) as well as computers, electronics AND trains!
All my Aspie obsessions rolled up in one - using my talents and things I love!
And the pay is good! I won't have to go bankrupt after all!
I'll just have to make the effort to get along well with my team... help them understand me and my differences so they don't misunderstand my face/voice/expressions and think I'm angry, etc.
This is great news! I'm so happy!
Best of all, being away from home 4 out of 7 days, my wife may come home with the kids sooner than originally planned because we'll still have some time apart, but also have some time together to work out our joint problems.
This is great!
