 I did NOT get any of the library jobs that I had interviews for over the last two weeks!

It is one of the most irritating things in the world when you consistently get 100% on the filing test, do that filing test extremely fast (2 minutes flat for 20-25 books), are a walking encyclopedia of information (so you know what/where such diverse subjects as pointillism and plate tectonics are), and still cannot get a job in a library.

There's always that K-Mart interview on 16 October...

Yes, I'm annoyed with the libraries as well. I did not get an interview for a library assistant job that I am more than qualified for.

Sometimes it just comes down to the interviewer's opinion of who would be the best fit personality-wise. Who would "fit in" the best with who's there already? Who isn't going to cause problems?

Frequently these questions are more important to an interviewer than skills or experience.

So, in other words there's no hope for me because I'm always the black sheep (w/ yellow polka dots ) in any situation. As for causing problems, well I've never done that in my life, I just prefer to do my work and be left alone.

Hah, the exact same thing happened to me a few years ago.

My best friend, who works at the library, told me they hired a moron instead.

Morons don't think for themselves and that's what some employers like (doesn't say much for the intelligence of such employers of course).
