Job Ratings
I would like to make a list of the types of jobs/industrys out there in the world and assess how suitable it is for someone who is on the spectrum. I hear a lot of people recommending jobs but dont hear so much about more mundane and simple jobs. I know a lot of people with Aspergers have skills with maths and clearly programming is an option for many. But its not an option for all.
Use the name of the job and suitability rating between 0-10 for people on the Autistic Spectrum. It would be nice to know why you give these ratings too and if its from your personal experiences with your own work. Add more jobs that you would like to rate and/or give your ratings on the ones you allready see here that interest you. It would be nice to see the variation of peoples opinions of how they rate a job because I know that there are Autistic people out there who do jobs I can never imagine being capable of doing myself.
Programmer - 9 - A lot fo us are good at math and think like a program.
Factory Worker - ? - I cant think how to rate this.
Farmer - 10 - I would love to live in the countryside farming and been dreaming of it a long time.
Warehouse Worker - 10 - I used to work in warehouses and liked the job. I got to work solo so it was great for me.
Office Worker - 7 - In an office working on computer is good, But communicating on the phone is bad.
Dancer - 0 - Aspies can dance? I know I cant!
Soldier - 2 - Being yelled at all day is not for me and I am not sure any of us would like it. The discipline and organization of a soldier is appealing.
