I'm very afraid to go for a new job or internship simply because I cannot stand the fact that employers may look me up online.

If they did they would see that I am devoted to computers and really nothing else.

There's nothing objectionable about my Facebook or Myspace profiles. In fact, I keep Myspace public so everyone can read my blog.

However, it's the other web pages I'm concerned about. I'm clearly one-dimensional and spend all my time writing about computers, etc on message boards. The only thing I worry about is the attitudes of some of the people on the message boards I'm on--some of them aren't the best characters. My posts are OK although I do have to watch my phrasing of things simply because of AS and I've had other posters take me the wrong way. Should I be panicing about this?

Also, what are the odds that an internship for the summer would search me online? Again, not too concerned about Facebook or Myspace, but more concerned about Google results.

BTW: The ones I'm concerned about are the ones where I am using my real name. Because of AS, I take everything literally and when I signed up for these boards, when it said "name" I put down my name. Some of the names I can't even change to an alias like this one.

EDIT: There's also an old newspaper article from years ago about me on the web that bluntly says I have AS. That one is a concern to me big time.
