I don't give a second thought about turning to the department director for help. The other members of the team cringe when they are stuck on getting information if I motion the director over to their cube to explain the problem. I overhear comments how she is patronizing, nasty, hard nosed, in other words trouble in great big capital letters. I hear she routinely screams at, berates and belittles other team members, but NEVER DOES THIS TO ME?!?!? I have even seen emails she sent to other team members about me to the effect "I can't believe this guy".

Apparently I drive her nuts, but she NEVER hassles me to my face and in fact avoids me. Other team members refer to me as "lucky". If I ask her is everything is ok, she smiles at me like a ret*d person tells me not to worry. She recognizes in my reviews that I produce good deliverables and good reports.

Such is life in the Aspie world.

Is she aware of your AS? If she is, she's probably afraid of being sued or fired herself for harrasing the disabled in the workplace. That would be a black mark in your HR file that could haunt you for a long time.
