I have a friend that's studying to be a librarian, she really likes it. I don't know much about the job-- what exactly do you do? Anyway, I used to work in the music business, and it was hard because it can be really exploitative. I'm really sensitive about people taking advantage of me or treating me unfairly. Anyway, best of luck! Glad you found something you enjoy.
Depends where your library is. A working knowledge of the dewey decimal system might help. Martial arts skills as well, perhaps.
My mother works as a librarian, and has more dealings with unsociable behaviour, and greater contact with the police, and more active threats to her person than I do, and I work in a city pub frequented by football hooligans and all manner of nutcase.
