I have narrowed it down-all my fears about the work world boil down to one thing, I don't know how to set bounderies in the workplace, so to get my needs met.

If, I have just master this social skill, I feel like I can work at almost any job.

For all those with work experience, do you have any tips for the proper way of setting bounderies in the workplace environment. e.g. saying no, taking care of oneself?

Please let me know!! ! Thanks very much!! !

Be professional do what your boss asks you to do. Usually supervisors are so busy in their own crap they don't know what to do with you. If that happens be proactive and find stuff you can do to improve things. You don't have to be "one of the guys" to do a job well just talk around and ask lots of questions. When supervisors see that you are thinking, engaging, asking, and being proactive they don't really care if you are a bit weird rather they know they can rely on you when unexpected crap comes to their desk.

usually people will let you set your own boundaries. As long as you're nice to people, show up on time, do what the boss says (as previously mentioned), you can approach people one-on-one and set up whatever relationships you feel comfortable with.
