Know that persuing the study of conflict resolution is something you can do.

I did!! !

I am a person with Asperger's, and one of my undergraduate concentrations is in Conflict Analysis/Dispute Resolution. I did very well grade wise in those courses-getting almost all As, and one B. A total of six courses. The program I was in at Salisbury University in Maryland, now they have a major even a Master degree it, allowed me much flexability. I ended up only taking two courses which dealt with skills, the rest were two issues courses in areas of interest, and I did individualized directed research for the rest, which became the basis of my second published book, Creation Unveiled.

For me, the minor was a good places to learn social skills in a safe environment, free from the baggege of special education or some other type of professional.

After graduating I never went into the conflict resolution feild, although it gave me background for other endevers and it helped prepare me for life.

It is good training for an Aspie like myself.

Go for it-if that is what you want!! !

Also, I ended-up going into "non-Aspie" feild, theology. This is about as neurotypical as you get. But, "hell or highwater" I managed to get my Master degree in this area, as well as published on-line three books in this area, made it to Novice in a religious order, and sucessfully sustained membership at two different churches.

We need more Aspies to colonize non-Aspie feilds, for Aspie's benifit from and are dependent and are impacted by these feilds. For example, if you want to do conflict resolution in the schools, your perspective will be invaluable to the feild, for I know when I was in school, the peer mediation feild was not set-up to deal with bullies, as a bully survivor, I know a peer mediation model which assumes two-sides to a story does not always work.

So, you can be making an important contribution, to make sure Aspie bullying situations can be dealt with properly.

Best wishes with your decision!! !
