I just don't know what to do. I don't have much experience in anything. I wonder if I would have to work with other people with disabilites - under the supported wage system. They get paid next to nothing. I just don't know what to do. I have got career counselling and done them test of what you would be most suited to or interested in. Mine came up entertaining people, animals, the enviroment, caring for people and technology buisness type work came up last.

Go donate some of your time at places, it will give you a feel of what things are actually like and about and if its what your really wanting, many people go chasing a dream because its what they "think" they want to do, only to find when they get there its not really all its cracked up to be.

Well how about working for a veterinarian? It's usually part time and minimum wage, but still might be a good place to start. That was my first job.

yep, vet work is a good option. Some of them even give you training and certifications you can use to become a vet assistant.

You can also work/volunteer at your local humane society.

If you could imagine yourself doing anything you wanted, every day, just for fun, what would that be?

Is there some sort of work that goes along with that? That is, if you love knitting, could you work in a knitting or handcrafts shop? You love animals - the advice above is great for that. Volunteer somewhere, see if you like it, try for a paid job in an allied field (a vets, a kennel, a breeder, a pet shop). If you like building things, see if you could work in a supply store that sells items people who are in building trades use... or take a course in the trades? I'm not clear what "technology business" would entail.... You can find useful skills in any job. Get some skills, and it will be easier for you to move into a job more to your liking when one comes available. Good luck!

I would suggest you that you should try for online job work. For more information you can visit to some online jobs related websites.

Thanks for the advice every one :). Online work I am not sure what that means. I know if I did work I would really need a job were I can move around. I once worked with other people with disabilites. I didn't get paid much and still received a disability payment but what I couldn't stand is sitting down for so long doing the same thing. When I am on the computer. Every couple of minutes I have to get up and do something. Even doing courses like sitting in a class setting. I just can't stand it. i cna not stand sitting down for an whole half hour listening or taking notes. One hour is complete torture and it really agigatates. Last time I did training like that I kept needing to go to the toilet once or twice every session and it wasn't because i really needed to. I just felt so agigatated and once the teacher told I couldn't go and that I had to wait til our break time. I ended up sitting in the class looking like this. :x Other women thought it was funny but I didn't. I had to listen to them go on and on.

Im going to guess that you're Australian only by the terminology you use in your responses. Im on the DSP myself for my AS, trust me I don't like being on it some days. I would rather work and contribute to society by working. I do volunteer stuff (actually helping at a stall for the organisation I volunteer for this weekend at the Midsumma festival in Melbourne.) but I feel that's not enough.

I understand you totally with courses, no-one understands what you have, I feel Im in the wrong minority sometimes.Unless you are a non english speaking and not Caucasian in Australia now you get nothin, just the run around. Last course I did I got crap for being a female because I was the only chick in a IT course, there were Iraqi guys and they seem to hate the sight of me. Well sorry I can do whatever the hell I like, I live in Australia thanks. So I don't feel like doing anymore course because of this.

You would never see me working in one of those places where other disabled people work. I tell you now I m far too intelligent for that and they are exploited wage wise .Animals get better treatment.

Hope I didn't offend anyone with my little rant. Just wanted to let you know that you ain't alone.
