I have difficulty knowing when I have made eye contact. I was curious if anyone else had the same problem. I don't mind making eye-contact; it is just difficult to understand, similar in NLD.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I know that I've made eye contact when I start feeling terrified, and I forget what I was talking about. I can force myself to do it, but never more than 4 - 5 seconds at a time. If I really feel it's necessary to look at someone's face I look at their mouth instead.

I was interviewing for another position in my company, and I thought I did very well on the interview, but did not get the job.

I asked the manager who did the review for feedback (both positive and negative), and the only area that was negative was "eye contact". It's hard to believe that for some people, eye contact is so important that it determines who gets a job and who doesn't.

I have been making an effort to improve, but it makes me more nervous. One trick I have learned, is to look just below the person's hairline when you are talking to them. It gives the impression of eye contact, without the nervousness.

Yep. Been told that more than once myself.

What we are dealing with is not a "disability" but simple Discrimination.
