First time I've had one in 4 years (I haven't been looking though). It's at a beer store in a bad neighborhood. I used to work at the one across the street from it about 5 years ago. I just want to get a couple shifts on weekends, and get some excitement because my life is so boring. Wish me luck!

Best wishes.

I have one today. I don't know if I would accept it if offered though. I'm happy where I'm at, but I really couldn't snub my nose at the job I'm interviewing for.

Yay I got the job :) I am very overqualified for a job like this, but haven't worked in a long time so my confidence was low. Should be nice to get some shifts in on the weekend and get back into the work swing of things. I start tomorrow so I'm excited.

Good for you.

Mine didn't go as well. I missed a detail in the ad that indicated I was not eligible for the job. Since I tossed out the paper, the best I found online didn't clue me in to my oversight, so it was at the end of the interview I/we found out we'd just wasted an hour.

Oh well....at least I'm not unemployed. Ironically, I had the sense that "this is too good to be true" and was wondering what was missing. Well, I found out, didn't I?

Congrats for getting the job!

BTW, how come you haven't been working for a long time before you got the new job? What is the damn economy or were you having trouble with job interviews?

I just wasn't looking for jobs. I've been in school, and I had no confidence that people would hire me anymore... I should've gone looking before. This is so easy, I just sit in a chair with another guy (yes, there's 2 of us lol) and basically scan beer and give people their change. Otherwise I just sit there and eat chips and drink free pop, and the best part is my boss doesn't care if I look busy or not, I just sit there even if there's no customers. There are other duties but they are quite minor. It will be a fun p/t job until I finish school. For what I am getting paid (min wage) this is the best job I have ever had or will ever have.
