my Aspie friend needs a job near San Francisco. he's almost 18, will graduate high school in june. he's brilliant, honest, social, and kind. he's also disorganized and has limited work experience. he's interested in computers, math, history, economics, chess... no programming experience YET...but he can learn anything really quickly. he can't drive.

he sounds like the PERFECT technician trainee for the small heating repair business my uncle works in. too bad it's on the other side of the USA. but a guy who is "high school graduat, brilliant, honest, social, and kind. he's also disorganized and has limited work experience. he's interested in computers, math, history, economics, chess" is exactly who this type of company wants to hire, but can't find. the company is NH, USA.

God Bless America - the land of opportunity where a loser aspie like me can get a killer job without a college degree.

Is he planning on taking any college courses? Is salary an issue or does he support himself?

I know the North Bay like the back of my hand. I know a good company that's chock full of aspies (my former company) and he may be able to get a paid internship.

Is he in SFO or Marin?
