when asking about past jobs it asks what did you like best about this job? The job had nothing to do with the job I am applying for, so I don't know how my answer will help.

do I leave the reffered by part blank or write N/A?

for date you can start should I write immediately? they are not currently hireing though, so will they keep my application even though I wrote immediately?

I have no special skills, so what should I write for that? could I put excellent memory? I also have no special study or research work, but I don't want to write N/A

Ok, Are you from Maryland or Massachusetts? Just take the lie dectotor test. Most auties won't do drugs or alcohol, we are not that high to get involved with "friends" who do that.

Next, lie about something. Use the compare and contrast method. Using geography as an analogy, I can find similiar between Swaziland and Switzerland, they are both mountainous countries. Think, there ARE always some similiaries between anything. It's one of my laws I use to get the situation to my level. Compare it to previous situations. If your previous job was a lifeguard and this job is say, a bookstore, say you have experiencing managing people and customer service. After all, watching after them and them asking questions about the level of chlorine in the pool is a contorted view of customer service.

Say walk-in by the referrel.

Say, immediately, very few people do that. When they do hire, they will hire you. Oh, come on, most auties have special skills the NTs don't have, and are jealous of. Excellent memory is good, write that. Why? Most jobs I had were routine, rote, boring jobs. I memorized the routine and that's all I did for several hours and several days.

What is the job you are currently applying for, and what jobs have you had previously?

Is there a job description or outline provided with the application? If so, then what you have to do is demonstrate that you have directly relevant experience, or transferable skills.

It may be that you can refer to life experiences outwith work if you don't have employment experience which match the requirements of this job.

For start date, you could maybe say something like, " at date of application I would be able to start with immediate effect, or a time suitable to you".

1. I don't get what the situation is in the first issue of the polygraph exam. Are they telling you to put either Maryland or Massachusetts in the blank if you are in either of those states applying to work for the company or otherwise leave it blank and know a polygraph is part of the hiring process? FWIW, I know how to beat those things and freely will e-mail my notes to anyone who needs them. The polygraph is actually more likely to disqualify an honest person than someone who is a conditioned liar.

2. When asking what you liked about your past jobs, it gives insights as to your personality. Did you enjoy dealing with people? Did you enjoy organizing file systems, etc. Usually what you liked in past jobs the most indicates what your talents are.

3. "Referred by" means "How did you find out about the position you are applying for?" If you walked in off the street, put down "N/A" or say that you inquired of your own initiative.

4. When asked when you can start, it's always best to put down "upon reasonable notice." Any employer that has professional standards knows that if you are working, you would be expected to give at least 2 weeks notice to your current employer. If you're unemployed, they may expect you to be able to start immediately. How much time you would need would be an issue of discussion in the actual interview.

5. N/A is perfectly acceptable under "special skills or qualifications." That section is for credentials or experience that would not show up under other sections of the application (like having CPR training, EMT training, etc. where prior job experience or education doesn't make the skills obvious).

The polygraph thing is stating that if you live in those states you are aware of it.

If you don't live there, don't worry about it.

Don't put anything in the refered by sign. If the boss hates you, it makes that person look bad too.

And as for what you liked about old jobs, lie and say you liked whatever the old job has in common. Bosses love it when they think you actually WANT to do something. Or put something inane like 'I liked working in a team' or some crap.

the job I had before was a dog-sitter and the job I am applying for is florist. So I am still having trouble with what to put for what my favorite thing about it was since the 2 jobs aren't much alike.

what do I write for 'diploma degree' especially for elementary school I don't know what to fill in..

Anything below High School put "N/A." The idiots drafting applications should know there is no Diploma/Degree until you are in high school.

Before the No Child Left Behind Act, there were no differences in diplomas. Now there are (sad). I don't know what the different ones are, but saying anything other than the highest one you can earn would show you were a lousy student.

really? that really sucks because I wasn't a lousy student I was an A and B student all through school, I just didn't go for the highest diploma at the time
