Have you tried posting the job at colleges and universities in the Northeast, especially where there are students studying Engineering? There are
many colleges and universities right in Massachusetts (MIT, Worcester, etc.) alone.

My nephew is in his second year at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, his "home" is in New Hampshire and for the summer, 2009, he will be working for the Raytheon Corporation in Massachusetts on the Patriot Missile Project...not a bad summer job for a student!

Ok, that's a good idea. I'll try that. I wish the actual human resources department would do it, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
