Hi all ! !!

I'm sure I'm not the only parent to notice their AS child repeat stuff off the t.v. I knew J did it but I always assumed he'd have to see the same thing a few times first.
The other night he was running to the bathroom, I was trying to ask him something on his way there, he gave me a stern look and told me to move, I was blocking his view back into the lounge room. A new t.v commercial had come on, and as desperate as he was to go pee he had to watch this add ( overian cancer add). He muttered "Oh thats ok then" then off he went all was well with the world.
If only school could be taught via the TV. lol

yeah, I've ALWAYS seen this in both of my boys

With both of them, when they were young, you couldn't talk to them while a commercial was on. They just can't take their eyes off the commercial -- can't concentrate on anything else!

Lucky for me, the 21 year old has gotten over this . . . for the most part!

There have been TV commercials I had to watch or I'd get upset if I couldn't watch it.

My son will rewind a commercial over and over again on the DVR. He often answers a question we ask him with verbatim quote from a commercial. When his school was teaching fire safety and asked his class of kindergardners what they should do in case of a fire, he said You don't have to call 911 if you have ADT alarm system, you just have to press the button!!

my son is the worst about this....I can understand b/c the commercials are usually faster, brighter, more musical, and LOUDER. There are certain ones I bet I hsvr heard lines fro hundreds of times.

Most of the ads we get here now are woeful and that's why I rarely watch TV now.

My daughter freaks out over commercials. Alot of them make her cry, some for so long that by the time she has stopped it's coming back on. I've pretty much given up on watching TV while she is up.

There used to be a commercial for Schweppes's Grape Ginger ale that I always had to watch. The one where the soda was christened, "The new British pop." That was back in 1994, when I was nineteen and just getting into my 60s Mod stage.

Yes. My daughter LOVES the car insurance commercials. Especially progressive and state farm.

The other day we made homemade pizza, and had to endure a lengthy monologue about its resemblance to some new offering from Little Caesar's.
