A good day

Yesterday was a good day for my son (9, Asperger's, 4th Grade).

Good Days are few and far between. Those are the days that I wish I could put a
shiny bow on them or maybe even frame and display somewhere.

But I will settle for giving my son a big hug while tears are swimming in my
eyes -- because for one day, he gets it.

Funny how we rejoice in the small things. That's what they teach us isn't it?

Just had to say that your beautiful post brought tears to my eyes. I know too well what you mean. My son is also AS and is only 3 years old. He's been in preschool since October and has acknowledged that his classmates exist only 3 times . Each time (whether it be a hug that he gave to one of them or something else) his teachers have told me because they know what it means to me, I have cried tears of joy every time. It's amazing how something so small to someone else is so huge for us.

I have been getting more not so good than good lately but such is life. A good day is just around the corner

Strange, we have too! The last couple days, Thurs and Fri. My son is nine.
