I would like to know whether any parents here (especially UK based who understand our system of Statements) have been able to secure Speech and Language Therapy for their child with aspergers.
I am trying to secure Speech and Language Therapy as part of my son's (6yrs old) statement. The SALT are trying to discharge him as they say his speech is age appropriate. My son has good language but all the additional S&L difficulties (flat tone, volume control, abstract concepts, social use of language, non-verbal etc) persist.
