[quote="jojobean"]Well look at the bright side
there was a major medical breakthrough due to video game players...or just called "gamers"
A computer programer and scientists teamed up to create a game to decode the molecular structure of the AIDS virus.
Gamers who played the game actually decoded the AIDS virus in a matter of weeks, something that medical scientists have been trying to do for over a decade. A cure may be coming soon because of gamers.

Thanks SO much for that! I don't shun it, but I'm not a big fan of them. I am currently looking for some better games for him, that may be more educational? Maybe? But not boring for him. We use the games as motivation. He loves anything relating to computers, So when he asked for a kindle I was thrilled! It will encourage reading! He had to get straight A's and B's for the first quarter to earn it! He had only 1 B and 3 A+'s!! !!

We just came from parent teacher conferences, and I am SO proud of him! He is doing very well! He is currently grounded though because twice this week he has guessed at all of his answers for a TEST!! So he has lost his games for the week.(which is torture)
