I have a daughter who only wore leggings through kinder through 5th grade. All through 5th grade I searched for comfy "jeans or jeggings" but she found all of them uncomfortable. Then in 6th grade, I took a chance and got her some high waisted jeggings that are very stretchy, soft fabric, great colors and on trend. I originally bought her 1 size bigger and she didn't even need to unbutton and use the zipper. However, they shrunk each time I put them in the dryer, so they are now fitting her great and she was motivated to button and zip because she wanted to keep using them. Recently, I bought her a bigger size and her actual size and she prefers her actual size now, so I buy her size and air dry. I think shrinking the pants in the dryer helped get her used to them being more form fitting. She likes them, has many colors (aqua color is her fave) now and wears them all the time. They are a bit pricey but have lasted many months and if taken care of, should last her next year because she is 4' 8", still growing and they fit her long but she just scrunches them up at the ankles. Oh, I originally bought different sizes and she felt some were too tight and I returned them with no hassles. I thought maybe other tweens, teens, and young adults with sensory issues might like these too.

If someone has any other high waisted jeans/pants that they can recommend let me know.

Hope this helps!

I did and still do like looser clothing. I wear baggy jeans and cargo pants and shorts. I find tight clothing uncomfortable. I wear a belt to keep my pants up. At work, I wear black pants. As a shipper receiver, I am allowed to wear black cargo pants, since they allow me to easily carry my knife, phone, wallet, lighter, pens, markers, and cigarettes.

I can't wear pants with a zipper due to sensory issues. I wore leggings up until about 8th grade. Then, my mom found me jeans with an elastic waistband, and that's what I wear now.

I have several pairs of these for wearing at home. they are okay for out too, but I save them for home is all. Wash and dry in the machine, and are comfortable and soft, and have lasted a long time.
