what do your kids want for Christmas?

My son has a lot of trouble coming up with a wish list, but this year has told us of a couple of DS games he wants. (Sadly, the game he most wants, pacman junior, doesn't seem to exist.) Also, coca cola, which he rarely gets to drink. We used to scatter candy canes all over the house for Christmas morning, when he still believed in Santa Claus, so this year we're going to scatter cans of coke.

I also want to get him a cash box, because he's really into earning money right now.

I wish I could think of a really *wow* present for him.

What do your kids want/what are they getting?

our little autie rarely asks for anything specific, usually its just a copy of what his older brother wants. this year he did tell us a specific video game title, so we already bought that.

our aspie always has the same list, "video games, itunes cards, and cash". hes fairly easy to shop for as we can always just pick up gift cards for him =P

middle NT son always has a mile long wish list. his birthday is right before xmas tho, so the long list is used for both. he has always gotten the short end of the stick, hand me down electronics from both ends (older brother gets because hes older, younger brother gets because he uses electronics and nothing else). this year he is getting a laptop for his birthday, a brand new one just for him, and neither of his brothers have a full size laptop so he will be the only one. he hasnt asked for it tho, pretty sure he thinks it would be a lost cause to even ask =) he is obsessed with minecraft tho, and this will be perfect for him.

shopping for our autie is the worst. i feel too guilty to buy a 5 yr old nothing but video games, but to be honest, he doesnt PLAY with toys. every year we buy toys, and he may look at them a couple times, but they dont hold any real interest for him. i end up dropping them off at goodwill a year later barely touched. i never know what to buy, not that it matters since he doesnt play with any of it anyway =/

10 y.o. DS wants very specific items

Night vision goggles
Halo mega blocks and Kingdoms legos (he has always loved legos)
An air rifle (not spring loaded)
A bike with the trick bars on the front and back pedals
A pocket knife with "lots" of parts (he saw one online that cost $800.00 and was the size of a dinner plate. I told him maybe he could buy one as an adult.
The spy car with a video recording device (he was really into spy gear at age 7)
A video game with a "sandbox" world where he can build his own stuff and destroy it (I am not sure if I have this right, any suggestions?)

Trios and Hot Wheels. He wants a Nintendo DS because big brother just got one for his birthday but I don't know about that. Too bad those iPods are so expensive because what he'd really like is something he could play Angry Birds on 24-7.

Any and everything STAR WARS. That is his current obsession. Last year it was Mario, mario, mario. He still loves Mario but is obsessed with Star Wars.

Despite what my father says, I'm currently living in the home taking care of my youngest brother a 14, I'm getting J-bird a lego model something he doesn't have yet. My father told me that when we were 13 there would be no more christmas because we were young adults, that's been a long standing rule. But I'm breaking it because I feel that it's silly to say that we won't celebrate Christmas, but think about it in a more realistic world. When I go to work even though I don't celebrate Christmas my co-workers get me trinkets...usually a lot of woman though....anyway. The thing with J-bird is that he'd take things way to seriously I know him. If we told him:

"You're a young adult soon to be an adult, it's time you don't celebrate Christmas"

When he gets a job and they have gift exchanges or something similiar he'll look a little silly without getting a gift. and of course he'll repeat what we had told him. He takes rules proudly. And it makes it like living with a brick wall. lol.

My son gets fixations, but isn't that much into the associated stuff. He's too much Captain Sensible. It's great, but makes him much harder to shop for.

We've always gotten a lot of presents for Christmas for the kids. I don't have much money particularly as our ASD 17yo's boy's mum left the home a few months ago, but things I'm getting him that are cheap from our equivalent of ebay are videos (incredibly cheap, just bought about sixty quite good movies today for $30 - he doesn't watch a great variety of movies as I might, but does love movies and will watch ones he likes over and over), and dvds of tv series of family guy, king of the hill, friends and taxi - series he is watching at the moment.

I also got him a wacom pen so he can draw on his tablet I got him a few years ago (-he'd promptly lost the pen when I originally got it - I'd better get an attachment of the pen otherwise this one will be lost for sure too); he's an extremely talented cartoonist but doesn't draw as often as he might.

So I'm concentrating on things he likes. (His mom has bought him a new bicycle and a new backpack, but don't think he's that interested in either of those).

Got to say both our kids are very very heavy users of the internet, and our son just loves the laptop we got him a few months back. To Original Poster - did look to see if Junior Pacman was on the internet - it seemed to be, but couldn't actually load it when I tried. But if not you can buy the necessary games/equipment on ebay.

I have a large list of things that I want. Half of them are video games, others are just random (like a gaming chair with built in speakers, a new guitar and amp, maybe some random computer programs, a new filter for my lap top [just in case], noise cancelling studio headset, etc. ).

Unfortunately, my mom isn't a member on here, so I can't figure out what she has gotten for all of us (I'm naughty like that ).

We don't celebrate christmas but because the rest of our families do our daughter ends up with presents so this year she has made herself a wishlist on one of those sites (think it's makealist or something like that). Because we don't celebrate christmas we get her a gift on our birthday's, our anniversary etc, I guess it' s a means of compensation. Anyway my husband's birthday is a few days after xmas so she gets a couple of presents off us for that.

She is currently obsessed with monster high and so we sat the other day and looked for every monster high toy you can get. She has all the dolls apart from abby who my husband's uncle is buying for her. She wants this hydration station thing so she's getting that off one set of grandparents.

My mum being efficient bought all her presents months ago, when my daughter was still obsessed with hello kitty, she still likes it a little but it's nothing compared to her love for monster high. So now we have the problem that she has a sack full of kitty presents from my mum, I'm just hoping she will love them as much as she will her monster high stuff. So then there is my dad who I sent the list to last night and he will hopefully get her a few monster high bits.

My husband and I are getting her the monster high wii game, probably 3 or 4 other bits like the tattoo roller, hair studio and t-shirt designer as she loves anything creative / crafty. I always keep an eye out for cheap stuff on ebay too, like a few weeks ago we picked up a massive bratz dollhouse for her for under £1. Or earlier in the year for her birthday I picked up a huge collection of jungle in my pocket / ocean in my pocket / puppy in my pocket etc for £30 if bought brand new it would have cost us around £250

She's very easy to buy for really, she will play with anything and be excited over absolutely anything but the monster high stuff will just make her year.

Lego, lego, and . . . more lego? At least that's how our 4 1/2 year old wants it! Oh, unless it's Lego Hero robots. Those too. Basically, anything he can build, take apart, and build again. It's all he wants to do when it comes to play!

My five year old wants the Zombie Monster lab where you can make candy brains/snot/etc. and eat them. Nice. We got that for him. He also wants new games for xbox and his leapster. He also wants one of those roll out piano pads.... the kind you can step on and make music. He's also a bit obsessed with the human body, so we're gettign him a book that's all about xrays and it comes with a little light plate and xray slides to look at.
