Thanks, will keep trying with the napkins...so far he seems to be comfortable with everything in the US but the showers...Japanese ones are a lot bigger and more open than the "shower head in a tub" we have in the US.
He seems to be pulling on his diaper a lot lately when it's full...I wonder if we can get him potty trained by his fourth birthday?
I would personally give it a try while your family is available to help out.
My younger son still has to be reminded to go potty, but he'll do it. He is also showing a little more anxiety lately, probably because I've been busy. I've also possibly noticed some echolalia with him, which I have never noticed before with him.
My older son used to have what is called "delayed echolalia," where he would repeat stuff from videos and his speech flashcards. My younger son repeats stuff immediately, like an echo--video games, videos, me reading aloud. He has only done it a few time, but it is worrisome.
I admit that I have been busier than usual lately and the ABA therapist has been on vacation for over 2 weeks. However, how is he supposed to handle kindergarten? I cannot be his shadow or security blanket for the rest of his life.
I don't want to have to increase his meds or have to use the special ed services at the school (which are not very good) for him.
