He only draws circles. He hates drawing or coloring and rarely will do it at all. I bought a cool dinosaur abc book where you can trace the letters and wipe it off, he just scribbles all over it though. I also got him this book http://www.amazon.com/Creature-ABC-Andr ... 0811869784 and we look at it everynight before bed. He likes this abc song video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XYQd_sJVzk and will watch it. We have flashcards as well, but he has no interest in them, I've thought about getting some that have textures, he would like them better.

I just bought my kids some markers that are for the windows. That might be a good idea to try or squirt some shaving cream on the window or floor and draw letters.

does he know the number of sides of shapes? it is difficulat to figure out what is the problem, maybe he doesn't notice relation between lines in an object, like crossing lines, or parallel ones. so you can try with that. my son had a prblem of corners in shapes so he could draw it when he would position dots at corners first.

also if he likes trapnsportation vehicles and signs you can try to introduce letters and shapes that way, like stop sign.
