Ok so they are your mother's friends from church. Church people like to be thought of as kind and generous your mother is no exception. Have her make some suitable warm Christmas drink and cookies. Give your brother earplugs or take him out to look at lights(that's traditional and quiet) It's a Christmas tradition to have cookies and warm drinks for Carolers and they can have them outside and enjoy the beautiful evening.

Feel free. I have AS and am the mother of 2 ASD children I'm also quite rigid about holiday traditions we adapt them though to our family. Or hey better yet perhaps this year your mother could go caroling too!!

Don't suggest....caroling should be for those who can sing. She'd kill the carolers and the people listening. She's tone death.
