Has the psychologist talked to him about how he's feeling when he does this? I ask because I have several friends with AS and they can't tolerate the sunlight. The avoid the outdoors and keep the shades drawn tightly while inside. It's a sensory thing, not anxiety, for them.

Our son has learned to balance his time well. He loves to be outside, walking or riding his bike, but he also loves playing ps2. He spends at least an hour a day outside, unless it is just pouring down rain.

My son has always hated going outside I have always had to force him to go out, in NY I would pick him up from school and walk straight to the park with him and he would get so angry, he just wanted to go home so I would bribe him, play in the park 30-40 mins and when we get home you can play video games before your homework. I had to do something to get him some fresh air and sunshine and if that's not enough he really dislikes sunny days he prefers it if it's rainy and gray go figure!
