It says in the article that the man making this speculation has a son with AS. What in the world is he doing? Why would he make this speculation without any hard evidence? It just makes people who are uninformed make the wrong connections about AS.
It seems to me that it just as easily if not more likely could be Bipolar with psychotic features, schizophrenia, or antisocial personality disorder.
Careless comments like these made without regard to the possible consequences really aggravate me.
Agreed, why would he make such an irresponsible comment? He's just going to make it harder for people on the spectrum (not SCALE!

There was an incident in Tuscaloosa a day or so before that. Some nutjob went into a college bar with an automatic weapon and shot 17 people, but nobody died. Luckily. He's either got the worst aim of anybody or the people there were just very lucky. The only reason I can think of that nobody shot him while he was doing that was that it was a college bar and nobody was armed.
My daughters fiance carries, and so I feel safe when they go somewhere. He started carrying when he got the job at the liqour store. My other two kids here don't really go places out of town, so I'm not worried at all about them and my oldest is armed to the teeth most of the time so I'm not worried about him. I think having your own weapon in times like that can be a great help.
