That just reminded me. First visit to developmental pysch--After ADI-R, she said according to her observation he did quite well and was just shy of making the cut-off for ASD. However, because of my input about home behaviors, she was going to go ahead and diagnose him with Aspergers.
Second visit: He gets to the door of her office. Starts shaking his head and saying, "No, no, no, no, no!! !" Throws himself on the ground in protest. Full-blown meltdown. "Aha," says she, "This is what you were talking about."
Yes, I was relieved.
