I just wanted to say that my Inlaws who likely have aspergers and ADHD had 3 NT kids so you could just have typical kids. Of course the aspie genes showed up in the next generation.....

I am not NT, and while it is too early to tell for sure, so far my daughter (15 months old) has no deficits.

Here is the list of milestones from the CDC. If you're not from the states, your country's government probably has a very similar list.

Oh, and congrats. :)

Instead of worrying, enjoy the baby time.

Enjoy your beautiful perfect little human being, even if your human being is neither beautiful nor perfect (not all of them are-- my son came out uglier than sin, and my second daughter was born screaming and screamed nonstop until she learned to walk at 8 months-- then she was happy).

I enjoyed them anyway-- the boy especially-- and I am glad I did. We had 4 years of really excellent memories and unconditional love before the outside world got involved.

Now he fears, hates, and resents me; I fear for him and have learned to view him with critical, despising eyes. That's the way it has to be if I am to teach him to survive in a world where divergence is punished and a label is a death sentence...

...but I grieve for the loss of the good times and I'm sure glad at least we have them to look back on. At least he still wants my hand on his back at bedtime, and still cuddles against me once he's fallen asleep.
