We have lots of pets around here, including cats. My daughter doesn't care about them except when they stim together with cat toys.

I have an autistic friend, though, who said her best friend was a cat when she was a child. She said that the cat helped her a lot.

The only other potential pet I ever saw my daughter really like was snakes. I don't want snakes. I'd have to feed the big snakes rodents which would be hard from me and the little garter snakes would hate me if I let my daughter hold them too much.
