That he takes his aggresion out on everyone, even the dog, suggests he may have something far different from AS. Usually, people with AS are very compassionate toward animals. I remember being very angry at people when I was younger, but animals had a comforting effect on me, especially cats.

My heart truly goes out to you. It must be scary to deal with someone who doesn't take his medication. I take medication for seizures and also take Zoloft. Both have helped me a lot, and I wouldn't want to face the consequences of not taking them.

having AS doesnt stop a person from harming animals, some aspies can be very people friendly but not animals-one of the aspies who lived at the last residential home am lived in was diagnosed with AS and also severe challenging behavior.
they refused to let am take the local homeless cat in,fluffybum because she would kick him [she didn't like attention going to him and not her],though if am was there at the time and she tried it,she'd get the same treatment back.

its also possible that people can have other things going on in their head that cause different problems, like a chemical problem or personality disorder.

I agree. I think there can be co-existing conditions (I hate the term "co-morbid") with AS. I think this behavior is part and parcel, not of Asperger's, but one of these other conditions. I tended to be (and probably still am, to some extent) kinder to animals than to people.
