I totally agree its bad enough that on cable and video games, etc...but I don't expect it in school. I thought of the mp3 recorder but then my son told me that no recorders, cell phones, or any electronic devices are allowed in school they will be comfiscated. They already go through a metal detector to make sure no one carries anything in.

Oh I couldn't even sit still to totally read your post because I'm so flipping mad! I live in NY just 90 miles north by Poughkeepsie.
Here is what you do. I went on that state ed site and got the phone numbers of the regional associates for your area. A regional associate is the person who oversee all special education programs in your area. He/SHe maks sure that they are fully in compliance. You need to call the coordinator immediately. I will post the numbers below.
I happen to be a family advocate working for a non fpr profit mental healh agency. I work with kids with emotional and behaioral issues. What is happening in your son's school concerns me greatly. I know the regional associate will hop on this immediately. This is abuse. Do not tolerate it!
If yu need any further info my work number is 845-486-9743 x109. Don't hesitate to call if you need further information. This is exact Info fo rthe regional associates for yur area. Start with the coordinator. Please write back or call and let me know how you are doing.

Hi all,

Just when I thought things were going on an up swing at school BANG comes another problem. Teachers are more a less on the ball but now the head of the education department ( mr. T.) is yelling vulgarities (if that's a word) and calling students stupid asses. Not all directed to my son but other students in that school. (some aspies, others with different dx's).
According to his councelor there, she said Mr. T is on the rough side but she doesn't know the language he uses. Which to me sounds like I need to keep my job and can't go against the head of the department.
My son now doesn't want to go to school, he feels Mr. T will yell at him at anything call him names and just put him down. My son is not in a tradional high school because he had a breakdown in 9th grade so was transferred to a so called therapeutic school.
:x Any ideas out there of what to do with the biggest bully now that he has to deal with.

I would not have my child go to any school where he or she was physically or verbally/emotionally bullied or abused. I think if the claims about Mr. T are correct, he should be reported.

This issue is six years old and the poster long gone. Why pull it up and advise on it? It is super confusing to see threads like this; I can only hope readers catch the date before investing time trying to help.

It came up on the first page of the forum.

On another note. What is 6 years on the internet where memories don't fade?

Good thing I read this far. I never look at the date I just assume if it's on the first page it's new. However if this comes up for someone else I'd like to point out that lawyers are expensive and should be a last resort. Even the head of the department has a boss. Report their behavior to their boss first, then get a lawyer if the situation doesn't improve.
