I'm too young to have kids, but I wandered in this forum to see if I could find any amusing stories.

Anyway, when I was little, probably around four, my mom tried to make me and the neighbor boy grilled cheese. I thought they were "girled cheese", like it was only for girls, and proceeded to throw a fit about how "He isn't a girl and he can't have that! That's only for me!" and she still reminds me about it. I also used to be convinced that since a squirrel had a long tail, it was a cat, and I would insist that my parents catch the "kitty" because I wanted to pet them.

How fun! I love these stories! Kids do say the darndest things! Here's some from my funny boy: "Mom can I have a disgusting candy?". When someone does something to upset him, if he doesnt freak out, he will exclaim that that person has "pooped" lol!

From my 4 1/2 year-old, highly verbal boy:

"Mommy, I have a headache . . . No, I mean, I have a head afflix . . . affec . . . affliction. A head affliction."

I have NO IDEA where he got that word from. He's always coming up with advanced vocabulary and using it in funny ways.

Then, later today: "Mommy, did you know that flatulate is another way to say hello?" I don't think he even knows what that means!

I'm not a parent, but since thanksgiving is coming around the corner in America..

I was born on Thanksgiving and one day when me and my mother were in the grocery store, we were talking about it. My birthday I guess was coming up. Anyway I was told it wouldn't be on Thanksgiving that year.. I couldn't understand why it was no longer on Thanksgiving. My mom tried explaining it, but I thought they moved my birthday.

I'm the one with Asperger's, my daughter is NT.

Yesterday she decided it was time to teach me how to hug someone properly, as in her words, 'When someone hugs you it's supposed to feel like they're wrapping you up in warmth and love, not like you're being restrained!! !'

I'm the aspie, and at the age of 6, I saw a Goodyear Blimp... the one for the tires. Anyways my dad and I had a conversation, it went like this.

Dad: Hey Andrew, look at the Goodyear Blimp.
Andrew: Ahh!
Dad: Neat, isn't it?
Andrew: Dad What's a Badyear?

My nephew is a NT, and I'm a teenage girl with AS, but sometimes it seems the other way around (as in my nephew has AS and I'm the NT). I made him a ham sandwich, and he wanted a peanut butter and jelly. So he said I was "being abusive" to him and stood outside in the pouring rain until I dragged him inside.

He does have ADHD though, so he can be pretty impulsive.

Sounds like he was trying to torture the babysitter :)

My son is called Talon - I love calling him by 'affectionate names', and the other day, I called him 'The Talonator' (just came out of nowhere) and he looked at me and asked me why I called him that, I said that's your new name  and he smiled so I assumed to he realised that I was just teasing but walked up to his bedroom door and looked at his name plate..spelled it out..T A L O N..and said, no mum, see, my name is still Talon  clever cloggs

my 6 year old son calls nipples "nickel's". We don't correct him because for some reason he talks about nipples often and it's way better for him to be saying Nickels while sitting in a resturant.
