In response to chris' post if removing my child from school and home educating him would solve all our problems i would gladly do it immediately.
BUT as I have been informed by several professionals today I would be doing him more harm than good. He struggles to interact with his own peer group so by removing him I would most likely just be adding to his isolation and loneliness.
I ask him every single day how has school been today? And he sits and tells me whether good or bad regarding his behaviour etc and I sit and listen.
.

Well, most professionals haven't been there.

Disregarding that though, I'm not entirely sure how being treated like a piece of **** on people's shoes is going to help your son develop GOOD social skills. Struggling to interact with his peer group...well, yeah, but regardless of whether you struggled or not to interact with your peer group, would you really feel like trying if they treated you like vermin?

As for isolation and loneliness...he may not need as much interaction as the average NT. See, as long as I'm safe in the enviroment, I don't care whether I have friends or not.

Perhaps you should start asking him about the other kids.

Good luck, though.
