Autistic neighbor
In my view, there should be additional tolerance from neighbors for children who don't understand the effects of their behaviors on others and have trouble following instructions not to do something, but there should also be a limit of tolerable behavior.
I remember someone else posted a similar story to this but it was less extreme. Unsupervised autistic boy, parents don't seem to give a darn so they let him run wild, boy comes to their house also and causes some trouble and to other neighbors if I remember correctly. It was posted in the GAD. Another reason to be suspicious of this story.
It could be a Snopes-type hoax story for all I know. There are parts I really distrust.
I don't understand what this means. It sounds like you're saying you would murder the entire family if you were an American. 1) That's horrible, and 2) what does being American have to do with it? Are you implying that Americans are a murderous people? If so, that's a pretty nasty stereotype to throw around.

I had the same thoughts about that statement.

I wasn't sure if it meant that or if they were in America they think the cop would have shot them.
Wow, this thread is only a day old and already on page 4. It takes about a week or even longer for most of the threads I start to even get over halfway through page 1! And I'm not even a troll. TBH guys if you think the OP is trolling, just click the report button or post in the mod attention thread and be done with it. By arguing with someone you think is trolling, you waste your time and it benefits them.
Sorry lost last post on phone when it died.
My question was how to approach the parents to make the bashing on social media stop as well as the badmouthing. A few people brought it to our attention.
It was recommended we try an autism site as you have the closest perspective to what the situation is.
And trolling. Trust me its real. And you know only the til of the iceberg. How I wish it wasn't real.
And if I lived in the US its legal to own a firearm. Would I have used it? Not really sure. But it would be an option. Someone else brought up the airhorn idea. But its been tried. It didn't work. I like the electric fence idea though as someone suggested.
And a few months ago he got away from them and made it as far as the neighbors yars when they caught him. So I don't count that, as its close but not on my property.
And I don't give a s**t what you think I need for validation. I know they are crazy. That is for certain. We tried to help but that gets tiring after years. And the full story would take me forever to reveal to you. Maybe I'll just put it in a novel and be done with it. Maybe that would satisfy those who think its a troll. Some of you people just proved that parents of autistic kids are not all looking out for their kids or the interests of the community they have to live in. Maybe a book is the way to go. Expose them for all they have done. That will stop the badmouthing. Only a few got that that is what I was asking. How to approach them without making it worse.
As I said earlier if you can't deal with current situation dont allow it to effect others.
I could give a s**t if they medicate, or institutionalize the child as long as they keep him off my property. We were too nice to begin with when it started.
Let's make the world aware of autism shall we? I'll be sure and send an autographed copy to you all.
Thanks for all your help. Sincerely couldn't have done it without your suggestions. :cry. No need for a response I'll simply log off and not bother logging back on. But thanks for supporting those who are effected by the disease despite having normal children. You have amazed me. And for those who aren't that bright, that's called sarcasm.
Yeah. It seems like every time there is a crazed gunman, like Sandy Hook Or that guy who shot down the college girls, the media likes to blame the behavior on Aspergers.
There was a less extreme story about a 15 year old in Chicago charging after an officer with a knife and he got shot. he had Asperger's.
That one still keeps me up at night sometimes. If it's the case I am thinking of, the parents had called the police because their social worker told them to do that if there was school refusal (they called for help to get their son to school, not because he was violent) and the knife in question was, I believe, a butter knife. He did have autism, but in that situation the cops were totally and absolutely wrong.
Here's what bothers me about this story: it hinges on them not being able to sell because their lawyer said they will have to disclose the nuisance neighbor. California has one of the most stringent disclosure laws, and theirs states that private issues (between you and one other person) don't have to be disclosed. Since, by this account, the issues are between them and the family and no one else, this isn't true: http://activerain.com/blogsview/4373382 ... your-home-
I don't think anyone here is saying that it is acceptable for anyone to allow a person in their care to repeatedly infringe on the privacy of their neighbors in the manner described. You are right: it doesn't matter if the person is autistic or not, they can't break the law.
Given the inconsistencies of this story, there is either information missing or the story has been extremely exaggerated. Many families with an autistic child experience occasional difficulty with behavior like what is described here - I've never heard of it happening 1000 times before the authorities finally stopped it, especially by a child who is reportedly in a special education school.
So, with this post, I'm going to stop reading this thread.
I did report it and so far nothing. I just want the mods to look into this and see who the OP is and if they are a sockpupet or a new user.
