This topic is disturbing on so many levels. Firstly, can we just outright say:
THERE IS NO LINK BETWEEN AUTISM AND MERCURY
The fact that anybody would even consider that such a thing as chelation could cure autism is beyond recognition, here's the quick facts: Chelation has killed people. People have died when being chelated to try and cure autism. Many of the doctors who talk about this supposed link have already been discredited due to their false research practices.
Lots of stuff is considered child abuse these days that shouldn't be, and the fact that people can get away with making parents do these things makes me ashamed to be part of this society.

Right there is the crux of the matter. I don't mind exploring and even hanging on to theories that are being de-bunked if the only cost is time, wasted energy, and even wasted research dollars. But the costs to the vaccine and metals theories have gone beyond that. They have gone into actually harming children, both those being treated dangerously for metals and the small infants affected by the vaccine scares and loss of herd immunity (it's the BABIES too young for vaccines that die, folks!! !! !). There IS sound science de-bunking the theory. It is time to move on. SOMETHING ELSE is the problem. We can't even study the metals issue further without risking harm to the innocent (the reason the NIH dropped their study), so MOVE ON.
