my son is now 7 and a half and his behaviour and hyperactiveness have got a lot easier in the past year, but he still has major issues with behaviour in public especially in noisy busy places. For example when he has to take his coat off in the mornings he waves it around in the other kids faces and acts silly, I know its just because of the hussle and bussle but at what age do they begin to have more control over this? ( he has aspergers and adhd)

My son learned to avoid more than control. Perhaps a little bit of both, but keeping the number of sensory overload experiences to a bare minimum was the major change over time.

Seven is probably a good age for you to start teaching him to find his own solutions. Talk about the mornings with him and let him come up with some ideas on how to get it through it without so much frazzle from the other kids.
