My husband wants to move to Fairbanks because they have an Engineering program that he is interested in. Do any of the parents, or AS "kids" old enough to know, know what sort of support there is in the area for children with AS? Such as therapist that actually know a lot about AS? The therapist we have here actually specialized in AS support and has a lot of experience... I would hate to end up having to take him out of therapy all together to avoid quacks.

I grew up in that area; LabPet is currently in that vicinity and would be one of your better points of contact as it has been some years since I lived there. As a kid in school, the speech therapist and GT program teacher were both excellent, though this was well over a decade before the formalization of AS as a diagnosis. Feel free to PM me if you wish, and I can share a little more information with you there. BTW, if your husband looking at UA-Fairbanks? Just curious.

Yes, I believe that was the one. The area also has a lot of Military Families, and since we are both prior service he finds that to be more preferable. He is retired so we can still use the Base facilities.
