Has anyone tried The Listening Program for their child, and did you see any positive results?

We have done theraputic listening with my son on and off for a while. When he does it consistently, it works great! We notice that he does not object to loud sounds as much and is able to modulate his own volume much better. The challenges are

1. Finding the time to do it. It's supposed to be done for 30 minutes, twice a day, at least 6 hours apart. For us, that means squeezing in time before school (the headphones are too bulky to listen while he's getting dressed) and after dinner (we both work jobs until 5 or 6), adding it to homework, bath, chores, etc.

2. The headphones themselves are bulky, and the music might be a little uncomfortable. In any case, he doesn't seem to like listening much and it can be a challenge to wrestle him into those headphones.

Good luck,

My son isn't really that sensitive to loud noises, in fact, I think he may be undersensitive to sound. I was wondering if it helped with ADHD issues and following directions better? Thanks for your reply!

I think it helped my kiddo. Its hard to tell sometimes when he has all kinds of other therapies going on. The sensory CD makes him nuts though!! ! We skip that one now :)
