Injuries are the leading cause of death and disability in children. Children with autism have significantly higher rates of injury, emergency room visits, and hospital admissions than do typical children.

We at Florida Atlantic University are conducting research on the factors that contribute to this. Below is a link to a parent survey, we would love to get some opinions and feedback from parents on this important issue.

thats ironic. in my house, its the invincible NT who has been to the emergency room multiple times, for things like falling on a pen that went up his nose and getting hit in the back of the head with a bowling ball, neither of which involved his brother. my aspie is pretty careful and cautious about his own safety, its the others around him i have to watch out for (flailing limbs and flying objects).
