after weeks of searching, i finally found a neuropsych who can do asd assessments. we want our youngest to have more in depth testing, and think his aspergers diagnosis is inaccurate and he should be diagnosed classic autism (shouldnt matter, i know, but due to some school and services issue, i'd like more info on sensory and processing abilities, etc). he was diagnosed by a local psych who did an iq test and had us and his teachers do gads and connors assessments. my SO is also going to have some diagnostic evals done and we expect they will confirm what we already know.

i know bjtao posted a list of tests before, i am currently digging around trying to find that post, but was hoping others could tell me what tests they had done and/or ones they wish they had done, for both a 4 yr old child and a 38 yr old adult.

i am hoping to speak to the neuropsych before the appts to find out what kind of testing they do.

These are the tests the neuropsych did with my son. They did not test his sensory processing since it was so severe and could be assessed just based on reported symptoms.

Stanford Binet Intelligence Scale, 5th Edition
TEA-Ch
DKEFS
CMS
WRAVMA
WJ-III
NEPSY-II
DANVA
ADOS
CDI
RCMAS-2
BASC-2
M-PACI
CASQ
CMRS-P
SCQ
VAB, 2nd Edition
ADHD Rating Scale, IV
BASC-2
BRIEF-Parent

When is your appointment? You will get so much great insight into your child from the testing.

I do not know anything about adult testing.

i dont have an appt set yet, we are waiting to hear back from the neuropsych as to the testing and location. she is based out of their clinic near detroit unfortunately, and i dont think we can swing multiple visits per patient as its a couple hours away. i was hoping she would come up to the clinic here where we live heh. i am still trying to find another neuropsych here who can do it, but not much luck.

i have been pouring over the reports from the initial eval he had at the private psychologist, and found the specific test names. so here is my list of random alphabet clumpings from that report =P i also included the actual names for those of us still new to this.

WPPSI-III Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence - Third Edition
CTRS-S:L, Connors' Teacher Rating Scale - Revised: Long Version
GADS Gilliam Asperger's Disorder Scale
PIC-II Personality Inventory for Children - Second Edition

and he had this one which apparently doesnt get its own acronym
Disruptive Behavior Rating Scale - Parent Forms

Azurecrayon, do you ever check pms or email? I sent you an email a while back (I have access to that privileged info from my former moderator status) and TOGGI3 sent you a pm but neither of us heard back. I kind of think the question has been answered by default at this point, but it would be nice to know if you ever got the messages.

dw_a_mom, i was practicing my "ignore the question and you wont have to make a decision" abilities 8O actually, i didnt get the pm until i got the email (which is when i realized the inbox didnt show when you have messages), and i do check my email but its been sporadic lately so i got the mail a couple days after you sent it. but have been thinking about it since the email, and will shoot you both off messages today.

i do apologize for the delay in my response. the past few weeks have been very stressful and hectic, both work and home. the upheavals are causing raging seas, and i simply have been trying to keep my head above water until the seas calm.
