DD11.5 came home today from boarding
Told me soon she will have to go for a girlie medical with school
And they will probably give her a jab
Oh dear
I don't like jabs
No matter whom they put them in
But even less if they want to put them in me or mine
After DD told me there was a silence.
DD knows my feelings on medicine in general
First loyalty of the pharma industry is to their shareholders and a quick Google on 'cervical cancer vaccine risk 2014' doesn't look promising.
She never been real ill or in hospital
Despite never washing her hands before dinner
She kind of feels left out with the kids at school and friends
Because she is never ill
Aspirin is our wonder drug.
Anything else we use is alternative
It's what she was raised with
She realizes my distrust of the medical industry runs very deep
But she also realizes that if she eats too much bread she will get bloated and fart her way through the day
So she has taken to my corn cakes over time
Today we used propolis to heal the cut inside of her lip
Let's hope it does the trick
So when I broke the silence
I told her she was 11.5 and maybe it would be fairer if she decided for herself.
She is old enough to decide whether she wants to eat a dead animal
So why would she not be old enough to decide for herself as to whether she wants this jab.
She don't know what cancer is.
And she's too young to understand proper what I'm asking of her.
Not sure if I'm gonna fight or flight
Might just crawl in my hole and go into denial
