Does anyone else's child twist their wrists, open and close their hands, repeat things, or start to sing really loud and frantically when they are upset?

I kind of remember reading somewhere that wrist twisting was related to hand-flapping, but I'm not really sure.

Some of my psychological reports metioned that I would start singing for difficult tasks as a way to calm myself down when I was 8 or 9 years old.

my daughter wrings her hands verrrrrrrrrry fast when she is upset and anxious. whe opens and closes her hands as well.she doesn't sing when she's upset, but the speed of her talking becomes exceptionally fast. she also begins to stutter.

i think this is a pretty normal thing for your child to do. its calleed coping. we all have ways of coping and our behaviors so to a child with AS who is very affected by stimuli this is the only way the child knows how to handle the situation. my son does very similar. my son bangs his head a lot when things get a little stressful for him..
